Meet the team
While coe energy advisors is only recently founded, the team can draw on a 20 year long successful partnership having been the driving persons behind landmark projects like Markbygden 1101 and Hyrasia One.
René began his career as a consultant in the banking sector before joining Svevind in 2005 as its first German employee. In his role, he was responsible for project development, contract negotiations, and all commercial matters. His contribution to the growth of Svevind into a leading developer of renewable energy projects has been substantial.
As the company expanded, René focused on commercial and financing aspects, serving as CFO from 2010 to 2018. Following the successful sale of Europe’s largest wind farm, he handed over the CFO role to Ronald and shifted his focus to business development.
Throughout his career, René has managed several companies in Germany and abroad and has led international, multidisciplinary teams. He brings extensive experience in structuring complex projects from a holistic perspective. René is passionate about strategic thinking and shaping forward-looking visions for future energy systems. At coe energy advisors, he continues to drive this vision by inspiring and guiding the team.
René studied Business Administration and Engineering at Dresden Technical University and holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

Ronald Meisel – Managing Director
With more than 15 years of experience in the sector, he has guided renewable energy projects and their development teams from early-stage development through to successful sales processes.
He began his career at an M&A boutique in Zurich before joining Svevind as a commercial project manager, reporting to the CFO and contributing to the development of the M&A function. In 2018, Ronald was appointed CFO, and under his leadership, several major transactions were successfully completed despite significant challenges. Today, he continues to support Svevind as an external CFO, remaining responsible for the company’s transaction activities.
Known for his ability to structure processes and execute them with discipline, Ronald has played a key role in strengthening Svevind’s capability to deliver first-class projects to international clients. Improving operational efficiency and enabling cost-effective development have been central to his work.
Ronald holds a diploma in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Cottbus.
